Ultra Filtration System
Ultra filtration unit is basically a filtering process and is the best pre-treatment process for R.O systems. It is a prime unit in MBR systems retaining precious bacteria acclimatized for a specific COD in effluent. Ultra filtration technique is used either independently in the water treatment or prior to R.O in water recycling. We use, as need be, Hollow Fiber, PAN, PVDF Electrocoat, PES and Flat sheet membrane elements. These membrane modules are of 0.01 micron pore size and act as barrier for chemicals, bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms. All these particles with larger diameter than the membrane pore size will be filtered of. To produce water with less than 0.1 NTU turbidity and free of organic matter U.F shows an excellent filtration capability.
Chlorination is known as one of the best techniques for removing microbiological contamination in drinking water but the key lies in right dosage during operation. This as a disinfectant has a considerable effect on the removal of microorganisms, albeit not 100%, as some species such as microorganisms can withstand. Such microorganisms can be held with ultra filtration membranes.
This is possible since pore diameter of ultra filtration membranes, we use, is smaller than the diameter of microorganisms in and it ensures the desired result. Chlorine with organic substances contained in the water, forms compounds, THM (trihalomethane) having toxic effects on the human body causing irreversible disorder. Hence ultra filtration usage has the most significant advantage in water treatment as it does not produce any such products, which otherwise are generated in chlorine oxidation.
UF modules are perfect for filtration in shallow effluent waters over conventional biological and chemical treatment prior to reverse osmosis systems enabling recycling of waste water to use back in the process. It is ideal in sea water desalination as pre treatment before RO. UF systems are also extensively used in, food and beverage industry and natural drinking water treatment plants to remove bacteria and along with disinfection.

KEY APPLICATIONS
KEY FEATURES
ELECTRODEIONIZATION (FEDI)
The Electro-deionization process uses electric current to treat (polish) desalinated water from RO systems etc., to ultra-pure standards required for many critical applications. EDI water systems will replace the conventional Mixed Bed Polishers and provide several advantages including
We offer a wide range of sizes, materials of construction and configurations to meet all the required water parameters from EDI. Our EDI units are salt free and do not require external salt dosing. They can be ordered either as a stand-alone unit or integrated into the most complex of deionised water control systems.
